Does how the world has changed during your lifetime, and where it seems to be heading, interest, alarm or excite you?

Would you like to find an interesting way to exercise your brain in another way from doing yet another puzzle?

Then join the Chinnor & District u3a International Studies group.

We meet on the first Wednesday morning of the month for 2 hours and discuss what we have found out about the topic of the day.  This may be about part of a book we have all agreed to read over several months, or a once off topic we have chosen to look at between books.

Between May and August this year we are reading ‘We need to talk about Xi’ by Michael Dillon.  The importance of China in our world has become very strong over the last few decades, and President Xi is the same age as many u3a members!  The book is readable but will make you think, and gives us plenty to discuss.

Members work together to read and discuss, and to choose later topics and books to read and discuss.  We’re a friendly group and welcome new members, but do keep a maximum of 12 at a time so as to have a proper discussion that everyone can join in.
