A Warm Welcome to our u3a Web site
from Nettie, our Chair

You might be wondering what the u3a is and what you could get from it? Let me explain.
It is part of a national organisation for people who are no longer in full time employment and may be looking for social, stimulating activities and experiences. It is fun, friendly, functional, fulfilling, flourishing and forward thinking.
Membership gives you access to all our special interest groups, where participants can learn from each other. There are also monthly speaker meetings, where there are presentations on a wide range of topics.
The emphasis is on having fun and all for just £15 a year.
If you would like to become a member, there are application forms available with links on the Join Online page. This website also has a Get in touch page where you can create an email for any member of the Committee.
I look forward to meeting you and I hope you find that belonging to the u3a is as rewarding as I do.
For people without email, or would prefer to send by post of deliver by hand, our Chinnor & District u3a post box is: The Chair, Chinnor & District u3a, c/o the Village Centre, High Street, Chinnor, OXON, OX39 4DH.

There are opportunities to meet together for days out, holidays and other social events such as Coffee Mornings. Why not explore this website where you will also find the Outings and holidays page.
Our Special Interest Groups include:
Art History, Art (creative), Computer Technology, Gardening, Natural History, several Walking groups (for all abilities), a range of card and games groups. This a few of the many (44) interest groups. If there is something you’re interested in and it isn’t listed, with your help, a new group could be set up.
A complete list of the special interest groups can be found on the Groups page.
Speaker meetings are held in the Village hall every 3rd Thursday afternoon of the month. Information about forthcoming Speaker meetings is posted on the Events page.
