Welcome to ART4ALL.
ART4ALL meet in the Reading Room on 2nd Fridays of the month, 11-1pm.
This group gives you an opportunity to experience art in a relaxed atmosphere and is open to beginners and artists of all levels. This is not just restricted to drawing and painting, your interest may be in printing or lithography or mosaics or graffiti art like Banksey! We occasionally have demonstrations from a guest artist. All you need to start is a sketch pad and a pencil or whatever art media you want to use. . The subject can be your own or one discussed at the meeting.
There is no tuition in the group, however we help and encourage each other in something we all enjoy doing. Please come along and try us. It is a creative and sociable session which we all enjoy. (Scroll down to read one members' experience)

Friday 7th March 2025
We had an extra meeting where local artist, Becca gave a very informative and creative workshop on the medium of charcoal.

Peter Dollman coordinates the group, ably assisted by Janet Erskine

These were the words of one of the members of the Art4All group. Read on:
“I Thought I couldn’t but I can…!”
At the beginning of 2024, I decided I needed to get out more. So, I joined a local beginners art class and Chinnor u3a. Both turned out to be good decisions. I always thought that I couldn’t draw or paint but it seems all I needed was tuition and encouragement.

At the u3a Activities Fayre, I was assured that Art4All was indeed for everybody, including beginners, so I joined the group. Each month I took along materials to practise what I had learnt so far. In February for Easter, I did a pastel hare.

In March I followed up my acrylic cupcake with some little water colour cupcakes. April, the subject was ‘Fish!’ so, inspired by my pen and water colour cockerel, I did my Sardines in a similar manner.

Everyone is very friendly and encouraging. There is no formal tuition but Pete Dollman and other members are willing to give advice when asked. All very easy going. I would say that being part of a group means I am far more likely to get the paints out. As a plus, I have met some lovely new people and am enjoying being an artist!
