Hi Everyone,

The Computer Group runs a meetings programme covering different computer devices (laptop, desktop, smartphone and tablet) and operating systems including Windows 10/11, Android and Apple. We meet in the Village Centre Chiltern Room on the 1st Friday of each month from 2.15pm to 3.45pm.

Our next meeting is on Friday 5th June 2026. The topics for the June meeting are delving into the impact of AI and its possible future consequences. The first part of the meeting will show a short 10 minute video of a TED Talk discussion with Alvin W. Graylin during which he sets out three possible futures for AI and questions which will we choose? Alvin Wang Graylin is a respected tech entrepreneur and executive, who has founded four venture backed startups in the area of natural language AI search, mobile social, location-based AR services, and big data AI analytics. He the author of the book Our Next Reality: How the AI-powered Metaverse Will Reshape the World . For the second part of our meeting, we shall look at data centres, their growth and potential impacts which may not be immediately apparent on first look.
