Are you interested in finding out more, and discussing, some of what’s going on in the world, and why, and what may change?
Join our International Studies group which meets on the first Wednesday morning of each month. We agree a book which we all read over several months. At each session we discuss the 2 or more chapters which we have read, depending on the book, and so we develop a stronger understanding.

Discussions are lively and fun!
Our next book, starting November 2026, will be ‘So you want to own Greenland?’ by Elizabeth Buchanan.
In between books we also have sessions where we explore some questions about the modern world.
At each meeting we discuss what we have found out about the topic of the day.
Members work together to read and discuss, and to choose later topics and books. We’re a friendly group and welcome new members, but do keep a maximum of 10 at a time so as to have a proper discussion that everyone can join in.
