Sustainable Living? What does that mean to us?
That we live within our means and reduce our impact on the environment?
Each month we take a topic e.g. single use plastic, discuss how we can make best use of resources and reduce waste. Surprisingly this is usually beneficial to our pocket as well.
Come along to our group and add your ideas to our discussions and suggest topics for discussion.
Want to make your money go further? Come to the Sustainable Living Group meetings to find out how.
This month:
Strawberries on two for one, too tempting to pass up. What to do with the excess? Or a glut of produce in the garden or on the allotment.
Preserving food is not as difficult as you might think. Linda Brawn and Rod Thorpe are both experts. They have allotments and are almost self sufficient. They use a variety of methods to store food. Come and find out how they do it. Jams and chutneys, fruit to bottle, sauces to freeze, cakes to make and more.
Come along to find out and share your own ideas and tips.
To those of you not signed up to the group we meet in the Committee room in the Village hall from 10:30 to 11:30 on the first Thursday Morning of the month. Please come and join us or contact me at margaretu3agroups@gmail.com
